Hi Everyone. I am really hoping someone can help me out on this one. I joined up with GDI (global domains international) They set you up with a website but you cant make any changes to it yourself. I chose a forwarding plan to point my GDI site to my account with Host Gator. I am new to this and am struggling to figure out how I point my .ws to my Hosting account. They have videos but I am having a hard time figuring out how all this works. If anyone has any tips to where I can figure out how to do this that would be great! Thanks.

    Hi Michelle,

I don't have any information on GDI but typically when you register a domain name you can point it to any webhosting account by adjusting the nameservers.

For hostgator, you would check first to see what their nameserver settings are for your webhosting account - I have one and the nameservers are:
    Primary: ns165.hostgator.com
    Secondary: ns166.hostgator.com

If your domain name was michelle.com you would point your nameservers to these settings in your domain name account and would then go to your hostgator cpanel and add the domain there.

PLease re-set your user name and password again and everything will go easy.
