WEB DESIGN

This is all in theory at the moment. I'm using yola to make a website. I'd like to generate raffle numbers upon payment. Is there a way to do this? If so can someone let me a hand?

Please, do not use Yola. I will personally help you create a WordPress website for free, as long as you just buy the hosting. I don't even believe you can make your own scripts to use on Yola, unless it's front-end design.

JCoffey is right. Go for Wordpress, there is lot of help available on the internet. You can get free themes, plugins and lot more. Plus there are lot of developers and you can get it customized for very cheap prices

Don't do it! Unless you checked with your state's authorities and you are legally allowed to have raffle on your site. There are very strict laws and regulations, different for each jurisdiction, for this kind of stuff...

We plan to check into all that before making the site public. I'm going to need a lot of help so I'm not sure any one will want to deal with helping me, haha.

Yeah, we will have to look into it before making it. Would be the smart thing to do. Got to find out who to get that info from. Then I'll have to seek help with it. The only thing I really will need help with is generating the raffle number upon payment.

  Well you could develop the site locally on your desktop machine and make sure you have all your ducks in a row legally before you make the site live. In other words you could develop the sites software backend and ya know what? You may have other issues such as making sure the site is secure from the hosting server meaning you may have to host it on a dedicated server and put in place all the security on your server. You may have to go with a Windows server so you can use all the seriously heavy duty Microsoft security stuff.

Are you, guys, insane? Why on earth would anybody develop anything BEFORE making sure they are legally allowed to have raffle on the site. FYI: in most jurisdictions you can NOT do it.

So, get on the !@#$% phone and/or search the net; ask a lawyer and make sure your plans work.

AFTER that come back and ask about technicalities.
