I have a website that I'm programming that is currently in Alpha. At the moment the design stage is near complete and before I move on to more advanced stuff like PHP and JavaScript I wanted to know what you think of the design. It would also help if you posted your browser since it views slightly differently in different browsers. If you want to see the best version of the site you should use Chrome.

      None of my visitors had that problem before... Did you check you spelt the domain name right? It also may just be possible that my site was down for a very short time since it gets 99% uptime and not 100% (though that's pretty unlikely).

    I have to say that the design is cool and visually striking but I have NO CLUE what this site is about. Part of website design is also about delivering a message...letting people know what you're about. Information architecture, etc.

    Maybe if you tell us what this site does we can give you better feedback.

      I thought it was fairly obvious with the navbar saying "Home Games Movies Audio Art Contribute Links" and the Featured Game area. It's an entertainment website and also a website for people to showcase their games, movies and so on. A lot like Newgrounds. I accept that the "Contribute" and "Links" part can be quite confusing. The contribute page is for people to upload their work (ex: games) and I called it contribute because it can mean contribute work and contribute money to help the site but I think I will put the contribute on each entertainment page (ex: games) instead and just call it Upload and separate the donation page (which isn't up yet). The links page is just to link back to friends who have helped me in the past.

      Hovaku is a new game, movie, audio and art website for users to view and contribute content. We don't just publish games, we also make them as well as the audio and art for them. You can find out what's happening on our Tumblr, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
      Could you suggest other ways of making it more easy to tell what kind of website it is?
