Question About No-Follow Links
I have a question for SEO experts.
Let's say we have a main home page index.html which we wanted indexed in search engines. And on this page we have 2 links, to a.html and to b.html, which are pages that we don't want indexed and so we excluded them in robots.txt.
These 2 links from our home page to the other 2 subpages should be do-follow or no-follow ?
The obvious answer since we don't want search engines to index these 2 subpages is NO.
But what about the anchor texts and the alt tags of these links ? Are they still readable when these links are no-follow ?
As far as i know .. anchor texts and alt tags are important and the point is that... We want to keep index.html as rich and alive as possible.
Are we distroying these anchor texts + tags by setting them no-follow ?
