Hey guys,

Been working my ass off on a new website / business for the past few months and was wondering if you guys could review the site with some honest but constructive feedback: You can find the site at Advancers | Start Your New Career in 2013's Most In-Demand Professions

Thanks in advance!

Here is my constructive criticism. First I'll tell you the order in which I see things, hopefully it's what you intended.

1.) First a popup appeared saying Advance Today. I have no idea why I would sign up for something I know nothing about and pop-ups are annoying and usually scream 'scam' to me. So I probably would have clicked away right away. Closing the jQuery pop-up however, I would then do the following.

2.) First thing I see is Your Future 2.0, average college degree is worth $10/hr job (okay that's interesting, got my attention), start today it's free? Start today what? I'm confused

3.) Then I see Advancers, unleash your inner entreprenuer

4.) I quickly see the menu options and then the video that is underneath (kind of hidden for some reason from my view until now). I DON'T click the video to watch it, see no reason to.

5.) Then I see, Get The Unfair Advantage To STart A New Profitable Career (OHHH, now I know what your site is doing... I think. You can get into the most profitable in-demand professions of 2013, right now. (Cool, so this is what the site does)

    6.) Pick your new Career

7.) The images at the bottom don't mean anything to me, so I just ignored them. (The truly for everyone, profit targeted training, awesome community, I have no idea why that is good?)

8.) I scroll down the page a bit and see pick your new career orange button and the facebook likes (cool 3.1k facebook likes can't be completely a scam I hope).

(By the way not saying you are a scam at all, these are just my impressions to help you sell better to your customers)

9.) Recently blogged section is wayyyy to much text for me to read, not necessary for home page and I still can't tell why it's important?

At this point I finally see it's transactions are powered by ClickBank and some other third party sources, but that doesn't mean to much to me personally, but it might to someone else, so I'd keep it.

10.) I finally notice the quote on the bottom left, (interesting I suppose)

Anyways that is what went on through my head from start to finish. I think the reason I looked at certain parts first rather than others is the size of the text guides my eyes and it was going all over the place and seemed overwhelming.

Might I suggest you think about what your most important message to get across to the user first is and make that the biggest text the user see's. The logo is not that important as getting across your message. Keep changing text size to control the order in which you want the sales conversation to go.

Let me know if this helps, I tried to be constructive by giving you advice on how to fix it. Thanks!

I have a hunch the first thing you want to show the user is

"Get The Unfair Advantage To Start A New Profitable Career.", make sure this is the biggest text on the screen or I'm not going to want to stay on the page. Don't let your design (having to be pretty or a certain way get in the way of your message you want to get across).

    Take care for your LOGO,
mind it a logo bears a symbol of aristocracy ,
    so make it more attractive.

    Hi Charlie,

I looked at the site and here is my thought process, hopefully not biased because I saw it before, I am trying to just let me eyes go where they take me.

1.) I still see Your Future 2.0, then I read the text under it, see the orange pick your new career button but ignore it because I don't know what that means to me yet.

2.) I see Become An Instant Entrepreneur With Out Expert Career Trainings (Cool now I know what your site does). This is an improvement over last time where it took many steps before I got to this point. I still think you should try to make this the first thing people see rather than the your future 2.0.

3.) Check out some of our popular career trainings, and see what you want to be

4.) I see website design agent, mobile marketing expert, social media manager and a dollar amount of $29, $19, $29 respectively. (I'm assuming it's $29/hr, I'm not sure what the $29 means, $29 for a one time job, repeat job? I assume repeat job, but unclear, adding /hr might help.

5.) I then look at the video, but because the video says Embrace your troublemaker and shows fireworks I don't have an incentive to click it, it looks like an advertisement to me, so I skip this.

6). I noticed the like thing under it just now, but the text was hard to read because of the black where it says 3,119 people like this. Which by the way is very impressive if that is true .

7.) I then see Advancers, Unleash your Inner entreprenuer, Advancers login... (I'm like hmm okay... but I want to see more)

8.) Scrolling down I see Get The Unfair Advantage To Start A New Profitable Career.

Nice it shows me how it can actually help me by showing average money for different job types. I see the pick orange new career button and likes again below, I might actually click to sign up now.

Big improvement over what you had before, still could use work for getting the right messages across to the user and getting rid of the fluff but A LOT better, especially since you got rid of that pop-up!

1.) First thing I noticed is the video running automatically this time and the logo. I stayed to watch it to the end, nice inspiring video, I can't decide if it's bad or good yet for your purpose.

2.) I see Be An Entreprenuer, need to make more money, You can. With our training tools you'll become an absolute marketing expert. (Cool, I know what you do right away now and how it can help me).

3.) Unleash your inner entreprenuer today: Pick your new career button. (I might actually click the button at this point), but I do glance a bit at the example images below, then look up to see, Become An Instant entreprenuer with our expert Career Trainings, then I see, check out some of our popular career trainings, see what you want to be.

At this point I think most users would probably click the "Pick your new career button" to move forward if they are interested. I would probably not even scroll down (which is a good thing for you).

I think the site is a lot better now, and when I do scroll down to read stuff it's in byte sized chunks and not a lot of text which makes it nice.

Good job on cleaning it up.

After I click the button I see 4 different types of professions I could learn, very easy to read and see what it does, nice.
