Hope this is the right forum for this question. I'm trying to convert a Word file to PDF. It has a lot of links, which are coming through just fine. It's the links with anchor text that aren't showing up. I'm using a paid version of Adobe Actobat 4.0. The Word document I'm trying to convert is pretty big - 149 pages. The weird thing is that with smaller Word docs Anchor text links come through just fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance... |

I had this problem one time when working on a client's ebook. I was using Acrobat 6.0 and after a certain point in the doc, it just wouldn't handle the anchors properly. I never did get it to work right. One thing you can do is break your Word doc into 2 or more docs, convert each of them, and then use Acrobat to pull them together. That might solve your problem. Good luck! |

I also had this problem with Acrobat.... Pulled my hair on it for a long time.... Then tossed it... Since then I have been using Nitro PDF... I find it easier to use, has all the features I need (and more) and is a lot cheaper than Acrobat. I know this is not a solution for you, but if you are going to continue making these things, you may want a change in software! Have a Great Day! |

Thanks for your responses. I figured it out. I used tables to keep the text flow under control in the Word doc. It seems that at one point, when I was copying and pasting stuff, I ended up with a table within a table, within yet another table. Once I fixed that the links came through without a problem. Go figure, huh? It took me a long time to figure it out though.
