My First Website - Critiques Assistance

Hey there awesome people what's up! I need help from the Warrior Forum Mastermind.

A bit of my background first. Since I am an avid poster in dating forums and fairly active in blogging, content-generation is easy for me. I am an authority in my chosen niche and I am planning to create my own product in the near future.

I just recently started and have already created my website(very first one) weeks ago. I have created the content and done the SEO stuff. It was originally intended as a sniper site and I was getting traffic like 30 per day, (yeah I made a mistake-I chose a very competitive long tail keyword but is rarely searched for- more like seasonal.) I have done some of the bookmarkings and backlinkings.

And now, I have decided to continue posting to generate more quality content. I figure this will improve my rankings and traffic, and authority-The right way. In terms of content, I can compete. I only aim to offer massive value.

Now, what I did recently was change my main sniper keywords. And submitted the sitemaps. One question here, what would this change do to google?

I am not so versed in website design so temporarily I chose a fairly clean robust template and plan to improve it bit by bit as my skill improves. I have a tech background so I fairly do things fast and learn fast.

If you guys will be able to help me , I have LOADS of quality IM material waiting to be studied in my hard drive. I am willing to exchange information up to anyone willing to collaborate-even briefly. Now I balance this with study and bit by bit traffic generation. I don't know how to build a list yet and the mailing list plugin I used is not working. (no one signed up yet - yeah, traffic it is).

I am sure that as I create the content consistently traffic will come. What I need now
is just a SIMPLE CRITIQUE of my site. What to improve on, seo tips or anything would be very appreciated. I will give you some gifts in exchange for your critique.

Argh, what the hell it's working on my end and other areas. A dns issue most probably. I've already reported it. Where are you based man? Edit: Ah yeah new zealand.

update : I have added a web form now on the sidebar and I will be working on a squeeze page.

I'm more concerned about what you guys think of the "look" and "feel" of it, how can I improve it etc.

Whew, i'm sure it'll be up, it's a fairly new site. Got the hosting just last month.

A simple website...good for blogging kind of template,blue theme seems not for outgoing like you (you seem 1) ...

yeah blogging and constant updates would really be a good way to increase traffic...and good content as well ...

try posting and social media...

Haha Karen, yeah, I thought so too. The light blue background seems too "nice" for me. I'm gonna replace it with black or dark blue soon enough. The reason I picked that is because I just wanted to get going and start somewhere.

  dammit.My hosting company said everything's fine they even tested it from different locations.
  
  could it be a dns issue - still propagating? this calls for another support ticket party.

  I have lots of pictures there and some report they showed me that a paypal button was causing a timeout. I removed that already. If you try a proxy and it works, let me know. sigh

there's definitely a problem, I online ping 'd it and im getting "unknown host" all over.

should have signed up with hostgator or something. I didn't know much about them and was too giddy back then. lesson learned.

I guess your first lesson will be to move your blog to another host. The one you are using right now does not seem to be reliable. It is important to have a good host for your blog and you might want to spend a little extra on that. I learned that the hard way too ;-)

  I optimized the site, installed cloudflare and switched dns via cpanel. informed tech with the changes. hopefully it will work soon.

You need a clear explanation of what you do on this blog and make it so obvious that your visitors can see and understand it instantly. Maybe a good logo or head image can help.

I'm working on creating a new header pic. thanks man. looks like it's working now.

my intodns.com diagnostics have turned green after reporting and using cloudflare. I heard cloudflare interferes with adsense, but that's ok, im not using that for now.

Note: I don't actually see that the site is pointing to us in any way. If you're changing to our nameservers at your registrar, you simply need to make sure that only the two CloudFlare nameservers are active in the nameserver entries at the registrar.

btw, site traffic jumped a booming 200%. I just added new content, a page and lots of promoting. it's getting exciting.

If I were you, I wouldn't advertise list building and traffic products because of one simple reason - People who want to learn how to date aren't the right target group for that stuff. Advertise something that's targeted against your audience instead.

  last month was like 10-30 per day now it's up to 50 per day, due to my traffic building efforts lately. It's accumulating very fast. why
