Can i automatically re-direct via an affiliate link?

Hi, I have a simple question, but Google didn't seem to understand it ; )

I want to set up a site where someone clicks a link to my site and automatically gets sent to the merchant's page for the offer I am promoting, but via my affiliate link.

Is this possible? Do Aff networks allow this?

I think, redirects are useful for this purpose, but I'm not sure. Just Google about redirect. I hope it will help.

Sounds like you are talking about a domain redirect (which is just another term for when you are doing a URL redirect for the whole site).

This is quite a common practice and most affiliate networks have no problem with it.

The easiest way to set up a domain level redirect is with your domain name registrar (at least most of them support it).

Let's take Clickbank as an example.

You set up a domain redirect for your domain (I'll use example.com) to redirect to your Clickbank Affiliate link, eg:

example.com --> zxv.hop.clickbank.net

Then whenever someone clicks on your link for example.com, then get redirected to the affiliate link.

Hi,

Domain forwarding at the registrar level works well, simply paste in your affiliate link as the URL to forward to.

Another way is if you have one domain, but several affiliate links to use something like the Pretty Link plugin for Wordpress which allows you to setup different link redirects and track clicks.
