Help putting banner on my site

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if any of you could help me. I have a header banner that I would like to put on the top right of my site opposite my sites title. I have a header banner option on my wordpress, but it only lets me input writing and doesn't have an option to download an image. Is there another way to put an image banner on?

    I can if you know CSS...

    In the headser.php inside the div where your logo image is, add your banner image - floated to left... possible with some padding on the left, to avoid getting it "glued" on the logo's right side.

    Ok thanks, unfortunately I haven't got a clue how to do that,as I am not experienced with CSS. Its so frustrating all this. Is that the only way?

      Yes, that's the only way. You are facing the typical WP mistake... because it is easy to install, people think (and expect, unfortunately) the customization of a theme to be just as easy.

    upload your banner to your media section in wordpress, then copy and paste the image url into the add banner section of your wordpress theme, thats what its for
