How can I do 1 touch install in VPS?

Hello dear members,
I bought a VPS from atlantic.net recently. I have transferred two of my blogs under this vps. Now, I want to create another blog on SMF. I don't know much about SMF technology and I never installed it on server side. I would like to use their 1 touch feature. What are the pros and cons? After creating, can I update it like I normally do in wordpress? Help is appreciated.
