Working with WordPress While Offline?

Ok, here it is --

I love WP and use it almost everyday with the dozens of websites I own.

I am going to be one ship crossing the Atlantic in a few months, and internet time on board is big $$$$.

Is there any way to work with WP while offline and then upload the changes.

I know this is easy and how build and modify regular old HTML sites, but I am building everything with WP now.

Any ideas?

Seb

I might be confused with your question, but what you mean is to customize Wordpress offline and then upload it online?
Local Virtual Server such as XAMPP, WAMPP, and other similar would do.

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

Yes, you can run WordPress offline, create your site, all pages, posts, menus, etc offline, then upload it when you have internet connectivity.

I run local wordpress via MAMP on Macbook Air as well as on my PC laptop via XAMPP. For Mac, checkout MAMP here. For PC, download and install XAMPP.

You will need to download the latest WordPress application installer prior to your trip, so you have it to build new sites on your local machines. As of today, the latest version is 3.4.2.
