My video sq page

The layout for the actual web page is nice. But the audio on the video is pretty bad. The thing is that people are more likely to judge the quality based on audio than visuals. So I would get a better mic, and if that's not possible try getting Audacity or some other audio editing program to put some compressors, noise killers and equalization working so the audio would be stronger and clearer.

Also, I would look for a royalty free suspenseful song to play in the background. It would make the dialogue less awkward, because there would be a frame for it.

All in all. I think this just needs a little tweaking to be a great page.

I agree with Diversion about the background music. It will add a lot.

I don't agree, however, with the sound quality. In any other circumstance I would, however I think in this context, because this is how Halo players sound to one another, I think it adds some credibility to your offer, and users probably won't be pushed off by it.

Here's what I'd do.

Create 2 sites.

1). The site you have.

2). A split-testing site. With the following changes...

1 - remove the header. Too big...
2 - remove the space between the top of the container and the browser.
3 - cut the headline in half. The part about the "Sick of losing" should be your sub-head.
4 - place the video and the opt-in side-by-side. May need to increase the width of the container.
5 - Take the "Halo 4 tips" paragraph and drop right below the video.
6 - Move the "1st Hundred Sign Up" text to above the Opt-in.
7 - create an image of the "free guide" you're offering and put that next to the opt-in form. Also include a monetary figure [[ Free Guide - a $28 value! ]] as an example.
8 - remove the "powered by Aweber" tag form your form.
9- you really should create a second form for stats purposes.


Get a quick testing script (if you need one, I can code one for your free - just let me know the two pages you'll be testing).

Not to come off as too harsh, what you have is good considering I can see that two of my facebook friends have already opted in!

I'd try a suspenseful orchestra song without lyrics. The lyrics distract from the dialogue.

Try this one from the link. Song called Mechanolith and maybe make a loop out of it so it plays continuously through the video.
