Nearly 30 MB of space is being occupied for each post

WEB DESIGN

I'v recently updated WP to its latest version, 3.5. Yesterday I noticed that whenever I post any article to my blog, it allocates around 30 MB of space (post normally contains around 300 words with single 45 KB jpg-image). I contacted with my hosting provider but they said it's not hosting server's problem, rather something might be got messed in wordpress (or anywhere in my end).

If this keep going on, there would be no free space within one week in hosting account.

I analyzed every possible issues, but found no solution.

Why nearly 30 MB of space is being occupied for each posts? Do you know how to solve this issue?

Of drive space or database space?
The drive space shouldn't be increasing at all unless you are also uploading images.

It doesn't really make sense: WP posts are NOT stored on your server space - as it would be the case with a HTML site. Every entry in WP (posts, Pages, comments etc.) are stored in the MySQL database.

Where do you see that "allocated space" in your WP?

What is the "it"?

What method are you using to determine how much space a post uses?

Are you downloading the page to your local computer and seeing how big the HTML and images are?

I'd second Peter's question above. We need to know specifically how you are measuring in order to better help you understand what's happening.

I just tested a site on my localhost, which is running the latest WordPress 3.5 release and I checked the PHPMYSQL tables size before and after adding a 677k post. There was virtually no change in the data table size.
