What Is The BEST Wordpress Plugin For Memberships?

Hey All,

I am just getting into making a wordpress membership site and I need suggestions for the BEST (and easiest) plugin for PAID memberships.

The plugin that intrigued me was Suma but it's no longer available.
What are your suggestions & feedback?

Maybe there is an entire wordpress theme with a built in paid membership module?
I appreciate any help.

    Check out DigitalAccessPass.com (DAP) .

    I wouldn't worry about getting a plugin/theme combo. Plugins and themes are major specialties, and no vendor can do proper justice to both.

    Better to look for a great theme and a great membership plugin separately.

      I've used DAP and so far it

      has given me great benefits of using

      a membership plugin.

    Yes, I also think s2Member is the best. You have enough options to setup almost any kind of membership that you want.

    Specific details of your needs should help you narrow things down.

    WP emember - Exceptional (and cheap).

    DLGuard - Not as powerful membership wise as the others, but exceptional at secure delivery and relatively easy customization.

      I will +1 the recommendation for emember, I moved to it after I had major issues with wishlist member.

      It's a true 1 time purchase (I would recommend you get the package though - emember, estore and wp affiliate platform) meaning you will never pay anything extra for it (I've had it about 4 -5 years and can get updates whenever I want by visiting a form online).

      And the support + Documentation for emember is fantastic.

        Yes I can also vouch for emember. [...] It's been extremely easy to use. After getting frustrated with Wishlist Member and the lack of new features and development, had to finally give up on it.

        Emember support is very responsive and they are open to new ideas. Emember also has a nice post-bookmarking feature where your members can bookmark content to save to read later. And they offer Google First-Click free access which only Memberwing (so far) offers. This is great for SEO.

        I have a lot of experience with many of the membership plugins, including Membergate and others. So feel free to ask.

    I just asked the same question to one of my resources.

    Optimize Press and Wishlist Member are great but are not free.

    S2 Member is free but you have to create the pages and short codes.

    As he said, "It's more or less a time vs. money tradeoff, as with many things."

    It looks good (emember) except the missing dripping content feature. Yes, I've read their post about it... not convincing (and the method is way too complicated).
