Is it possible to insert a picture/banner to be displayed at the right widget but only on certain pages?
I want a banner to be displayed at the right side but not on the main page

How can I do this?

It is possible but a bit involved. It depends on how the theme is coded and how you are displaying the front page.

If these are for posts and not pages you may be able to create and call for a new sidebar on the themes index.php file. Or the other way around and add the new sidebar to the single.php file for single posts. I say that you MAY be able to if the theme has these two separate files. Some themes don't and might use different files or actually share the index.php file for both.

If using a static front page or the different sidebar is for pages and not posts you can create a custom page template and a new sidebar file for it and call for only the new sidebar. You specify what page template to use from the Write/Edit page editor.

In a nutshell you need to create the new sidebar and replace or add it to the themes template file or a custom page template.

Yes it is possible. But I doubt you'll be able to do it by yourself. Try finding someone with a bit ore experience to do this for you (for a small fee).
