CJ link does not goes to destination URL

Hi,

I need help on the commission junction affiliate links. If I do a affiliate link re-direct using htaccess, the link does not goes to the destination url (discount page) but it goes to another page on the merchant's site (non- discount page). Please advise on this. Does that mean that I cannot do a affiliate link re-direct if I want the link to goes to the intended destination url (a discount page) ?

    If you follow the link normally does it currently go to the discount page?
    Is the link correct in the redirect?
    Have you tried doing a different type of redirect?

    I can try and help you out but without more info on how you have .htaccess configured, my advice may be spotty.

    Make sure you have the rewrite engine in your .htaccess file turned on

    Rewrite engine on

    Then your directive should look like this

    Redirect 301 /affiliatelink.htm http://www[dot]landingpageyouwanttosendvisitorsto[dot]com

    Obviously you will want to replace those URL’s with the ones you are using.
