Need help finding a directory plugin for Wordpress

I'm building a Wordpress site for a customer that has over 60,000 items to be displayed in his product catalog. This IS NOT an ecommerce site. It IS a catalog type of site.

I need to display the products via:

Category ==> then display Sub-categories ==> then display the products in the selected sub-category

The theme I'm using allows for a product showcase and allows you to add a product subcategory when you enter the product in the dashboard/admin area. However, it doesn't display the sub-categories when viewing.

I need the above mentioned layout.

Is there a WP plugin that will make this easier to manage and display?

I don't know of plugins... because what you are asking for is not a plugin issue - it is a pure "know your theme" issue.

WP already has the ability to create and use sub (and sub-sub) categories.
WP also has a feature called category templates > see it here!

Basically, you just need to use different category templates for categories and subcategories:
a) for categories > templates displaying their own subcats
b) for subcats > templates displaying posts (assuming each product has its own post)
