Small (but very annoying) Firefox issue

OK...I have a blog, and on my menu I have a link to view the feed i.e. feed.xml.

In I.E. in goes to the feed page and it displays all properly.

(not sure if I'm aloud to post links, we'll see):

chrisjamesebooks.com/blog/feed.xml

When I click on the link in firefox, the little box pops up like when you click on a link to a zip file, asking me what program I want to open it with or if I want to download it.

My code is this:

<a href="http://www.chrisjamesebooks.com/blog/feed.xml"><img src="i/rss.png" alt="XML Feed" style="vertical-align:middle;border:0"></a>

Thank you

    Try this:

In Firefox, go to Tools -> Options -> Applications

Then look for a line that indicates how Firefox is handling XML files. It should give you a drop down menu for you to choose what you want firefox to do when it sees these kind of files.

Not 100% sure that's the solution though because my firefox doesn't have a line for XML, but I'm on a newly re-installed laptop so that might be the issue on my end.

Try it out and see if that helps.

Did you ever find a solution for this?

When that box pops up, just use it to instruct FF to use itself.
