Squeeze/Landing Pages

I apologize if this is the wrong area for my question but can someone explain the difference between a Squeeze page and a Landing page. I am guessing that a Squeeze page is a type of Landing page but I could be wrong.

    You are right, a squeeze page can be a landing page as a landing page could be any page that a visitor lands on after they click on an ad or a link. Squeeze pages specifically are designed to get information from a visitor whereas the traditional landing page may be after the same thing on some occasions but it may offer more content.

    A Squeeze Page is called that because it's designed to squeeze the person's name out of them. You squeeze that out of them in exchange for something else, like a free report or what have you. A squeeze page is a landing page in that someone will land on it. But a landing page is just a page somebody lands on. When they land there maybe you squeeze their name out of them or maybe you don't but it's a landing page by virtue of the fact that people land there.
