Wordpress Search Plugine

Hi there

I have put together a property website and am looking for a plugin for the sidebar so people can search through the properties.

Here is an example of one similar I have found on another site - europeanrealestate.org

Any advice would be appreciated.

    I'm not sure how you built your site or organized your content, and that will make a huge difference in your ability to filter search results like that example site.

    I didn't dig into that site at all, but to be able to filter like that (country, province, city, etc....)
    you need to have content organized properly whether it be categories, custom post types, etc..

    Even an advanced search filter plugin will not display/filter the information like that without prior planning.

    If your dealing with properties, I would use a highly targeted property type theme or plugin and usually they will have that advanced search filtering capability built in.

    Why don't you first try the default search widget ?

    If you don't know how to get it there, go to Appearance >> Widgets, and drag the search widget to the sidebar you wish to have it.

    using the default search widget is the best solution for you... plus a lot of plugins will make your website too heavy to load... so i do agree with schwarzes.. the default search widget is more suitable for you!
