Hi warriors.

I'm creating a new product and will be using Clickbank

I'm now stuck between optimizepress or wishlist member to host the product.

Which one do you think is better and why?

I'm looking to get a really cool modern design with large headers & footers and full width sales pages.

Which one is better for that?

thanks in advance for your advice.

You are lost... this is the web design forum and you are asking us to compare a WordPress theme and a WordPress plugin - to "host" your product.

Any theme can be modified to look "cool modern" and crappy... and none of them are useful technical terms to talk about design

Just an advice: a too large header that would force the visitor to scroll down to see what is on the site - is a dumb idea for a sales page. So is the full width (like monitor full width): everybody hates reading 22" long lines...

I am lost, since I don't know much about design.

All I need is some feedback on both choices.

To make it more clear. what I meant a large header and full width is a sales page similar to diythemes.com

Before you'd know anything about design... you should, perhaps, figure out what do you want to do. In other words, take a piece of paper and draw up your sales funnel: where the visitors arrive (sales page? something else?); what is the next step; payment at CB > download page; any OTO or upsell and downsell? etc.

Have a clear picture about the process you want to take your buyers through. It has NOTHING to do with design (yet) and it can make the difference between making $10 or $10,000 ---

What is your product? Is it a membership-based, continuous program/product? If not, WTF do you need wishlist?

Wishlist is a plugin that would transform a WordPress (WP) powered site into a membership site. Do you really need that?

On the other hand, Optimizepress is a WP theme that has pre-made templates for the different steps of the above-mentioned sales funnel.

So, no, even if someone is complete dumb at "web design" - still should know the difference because up till this moment in the whole decision making process there are NO design issues involved.

And to be brutally honest, to sell anything on CB you don't even need WordPress. Just a sales page and a download page (eventually, protected). That's it.

So, again, forget the design... figure out the business. Pick the necessary scripts (like WP or something else) when you know exactly what kind of functionality is needed on your site. When the functions and features and the funnel is all in order (in your head that you are able to explain it to any average webmaster) the design will find you

    Thanks for the advice.

It's going to be an info product.

I know optimizepress is probably the best for that and I have it already.

I also have the full sales funnel.

The reason why I was thinking about whishlist is because Lewis Howes recommended it to me for an info product. He has the Linkedinfluence product on there and it works perfectly fine.

But I think optimziepress would be better.

The thing is I don't want it to be just a downloadable product.

I want it to be an online video training membership site, but I know it can easily be done with OP.
