Hi,

In the last month I've bought two premium wordpress themes both five star and very popular. I have found them both to be very buggy

For example, the theme I just bought yesterday. is one the highest selling on Themeforest. It has good documentation and everything was going well until I tried to add a contact page by following their insrutuctions

I did the following:

Created a new page
Titled it "contact"
Selected a contact form page template(made by the theme designer)
Edited one label, changing "website" to "telephone", using their form builder
Published and viewed the site

The footer was above the form? I submitted a support ticket and was told it has something to do with the html. But I never touched the html. I don't even know how to do that.

I then view the contact page using various devices and modern browsers. What a mess.

In some the footer is where it is suppose to be???? In some the pretty styling in the header and footer disappears. In some the theme supplied font changes to another one.

Anyway, I gave up on the first theme because for a newbie the documentation wasn't very good. The second theme has good documentation but if my site is going to break, in modern browsers, when I'm doing simple stuff I don't know if it's worth persevering. So are there any "bullet proof" nice looking themes where a person can do a simple business site without it falling to pieces

Cheers Don

BTW the link is sheen

It sounds like you did what your supposed to with that theme.
Still, it seems like it's not the theme causing the issue but either something that was done since installation, or a plugin your using. Hard to say within looking at it from admin.
Deactivate all plugins and check it again.
I'd double check the theme settings and check any widgets dragged in the footer.
It doesn't look like that was done, but a 2 second check will make sure.
Obviously not all premium themes are great, even on themeforest, but the karma theme is pretty decent.
Assuming a well coded theme, most buggy issues come from poor plugins, or theme changes.

Well, I deactivated all the plugins, and as for the footer I set it up following their instructions in the video. I would play a little, then do exactly what they said, then I'd play a bit more and do exactly what they said. It's pretty easy I just did it again.

      Site options
      Interface options
Footer columns (I enter three, the theme recommends 3-4)
      Widgets
The theme already has widgets labelled footer column 1-6
footer column 1 I drag and drop a text widget
footer column 2 I drag and drop a text widget
footer column 3 I drag and drop a social widget
The same footer is used throughout the site

Anyway, I'm sure if I can't figure it out they'll help me. That's part of the reason why I bought a premium theme. But I do find it frustrating when simple stuff goes wrong especailly when I have so carefully followed the documentation. At least they have good documentation.

That would probably be the fastest solution, contact their support.
I don't know if you could ever label any theme bulletproof.
In it's default form with no customer interaction, maybe.....
Since you haven't built out a full site yet, it might be a good idea to wipe what you have, re-install the theme, and import the demo xml including all attachments to see exactly how the author built out the demo pages and settings. Could give you some good insight.
You could them just modify the demo pages, rename, change content, etc....

I know it seems pretty big and frustrating, but it's quite likely it's something very minor causing an issue.
