my website 5 simple steps to permanent fat loss | Fat2FitSteps.com

I desperately want to change my header to something more appealing. Any advice on how I can change it is appreciated.

What programs can I use to design headers? What to put on eye catching header etc.

thanks

If I were you I would use the same image from your free ebook, and make a header out of it.
It will add some consistency to your design and make your site flow better.

XHEADER is pretty good for designing header graphics.

HERE'S A LINK YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK OUT

    Hope this helps

How about something like this? Extend the menu and header area creating a more full site, use the image from your ebook, and get creative =]

Personally, I would change the entire website. I don't understand what you are selling or what your goal for the website is.. The design is very amateurish.

I would definitely agree with that assessment. If I was searching for weight loss info and I landed on a page that looked like that, I would hit the back button immediately.

You need a more professional looking design... plain and simple.

Yea, i agree, the whole design looks like every other weight loss, viagra, get rich fast websites all over the internet, and the word is - amateurish. I would redesign it completely and make it simple and professional. The way you have it now, doesn`t inspire me confidence.

Thanks for your honest opinions. I agree that it is "amateurish" and thats the reason I am trying to change it . Because of limited budget, I have to do it myself. I know many things (including header) need improvement and am working on that.

Google "free website templates" (or "free WordPress themes", if you use WP)... there are tons of them out there. You might have to spend a few hours searching before you find a really nice-looking one, but they do exist (normally you have to leave the developers link in the footer, but if you're on a tight budget, that's not a bad tradeoff).

And believe it or not, I've actually gotten decent headers designed at Fiverr for just $5.

So spend a few hours searching for a good-looking free website template / theme, then go get a header at Fiverr... and for a grand total of $5 and a couple hours of your time, you'll have something that looks far nicer than your current design.

And when you build out your new site, think about what your #1 preferred action is for your website visitors. If it's to get them to opt-in to your list, then make sure that your opt-in form stands out a little more than everything else on the page (ie their eyes should be drawn to it immediately after landing on the page). And you need a good headline for your opt-in form. "Get my free ebook" is not a good headline. Something like "Free ebook reveals the 60 hottest tips for burning fat fast and keeping it off" would be a lot better.

And I wouldn't even mess around with putting PPC ads on the same page as an opt-in form is on. Do you want your visitors to opt-in to your list or click away from your site? You should choose one (but not both). The last thing you want to do is have several different things vying for their attention all at once. Keep it clean and uncluttered.

      Hope that helps.
