Wordpress theme question and migrating posts from another blog?

Two technical questions I've got about Wordpress:

(1) At the present moment I am using a theme called "Responsive" (you can find it from Wordpress.org Themes). It is being used at:

Edmund Loh dot com | Internet Marketing | Private Label Rights

Question: in which part of the Theme Editor do I go to change the color of the gray menu bar (the one just right under the "edmundloh" header image?)

And

(2) I previously wrote some posts on a couple of separate blogs, that I now want to migrate them over to this Blog.

This includes their time stamps, previous blog post comments (which is a big reason why I didn't just want to copy and paste the content back).

Anyone done this before and know how to do it?

Edmund

    1) If the theme has a custom css in theme options, then give a background color to .menu class

    2) If they are WP blogs, then you can use the import/export tools in Tools menu.

      1) Yes there is "Theme Options" with the Custom CSS option - what do I input in exactly?

      2) Will using the Import feature overwrite all my existing blog contents? Because what I want to achieve is to merge all the contents from a few different blogs into one - with their time stamps and comments.

    1. Even if you have the Option to play with the menu's bg colour... the problem is the dark grey thing is a background image, with gradients - see line #1724 and further in the style.css file.

    2. The import shouldn't over-write your existing content... but I'd make a backup - just in case! - before attempting to mess around with those imports.

When on the Export page you select ALL CONTENT, it will export all of your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, terms, navigation menus and custom posts.

so ye - in general you should be able to set different values in the theme options page in regards to the main menu - or if the theme doesn't feature a theme options page, you may need to navigate to the editor and redesign the menu manually (not that hard of a task) - can help you out if needed.

As for migrating your posts and coments and all of that - I recommend just exporting and importing data from the previous website (other warrior members have allready answered the question as to how to achieve this) - I'm 100% positive that the import won't overwrite anything on your new wordpress website tho.

On your dashboard, you can see editor there. Click it and you will see codes. Modify those codes if you know how to modify it.
