Help Installing a site I bought

I bought a package from the forums.
In it is a compressed site backup, I have a webhost account with cpanel.

I've tried unzipping the contents to the ftp transfer but I get database errors.
I have messed about with fantastico wordpress manager and mysql database manager but both give 404's or database errors.

Any ideas? I can't pm the seller as I have insufficient posts and I can't reply to the thread for the same reasons either.

Did you check the .htaccess file? Is it wordpress or not?

Is is alright if I direct my buyers to your page, for instructions on how to install the sites?

It's alright..I don't mind it...it's why I created it for people to use it
