Hi All

I am trying to build an article directory site but have got stuck on how to change the Home Page. I would be really grateful if any Warrior could help

I wish to make my homepage Daily Articles Hub.

So I have created a Page in Admin called "Home"

As you can probably see when you go to the URL Daily Articles Hub you can see all my categories and articles and I would like my visitors to see this as the Home page and be able to navigate to it from the menu categories across the top.

How do I make this page show as my actual home page?

I am using Wordpress latest version.

Many Thanks for any help offered

In WP control panel go to Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays. Select "A static page" and choose "Home" from the drop-down menu

The real question is WHY did you create that Page...?

By default, any WP installation show your posts on the frontpage (homepage).
    No need for anything there.

And clicking on the blog title always will bring you back to the hompage: that's the expeted behaviour of any blog.

To be honest, not clear what you were trying to do... Do you know?

      Thank you for your reply.
I created the HOME page because I wish to show the Posts on the Front Page that WP created as a Home page, but I am not sure how to do that ?

At the moment if a visitor to the site for example is viewing the "privacy policy" page they can not navigate back to the posts on the front page, unless they click on the blog title - I would like them to be able to click on a home page tab if possible

hope I have made that a bit clearer!

      Thanks

You are using an old theme that is not being maintained and not up to date with the current WordPress version.

In the current version of wordpress, I'm not sure about your theme, you could define a menu entry named Home and have it go to http://www.dailyarticleshub.com/

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

Copy here (in between <code> tags of the forum) the lines from your theme's header.php that are between the h1 tag with the blog title and the beginning of the form...

And btw, you did NOT want to "amend" the homepage... what you really wanted was to have a home link in your horizontal menu!

      <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>" id="logo"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <span><?php bloginfo('description'); ?></span></a></h1>
