Question: Wordpress & Webmaster Tools: Content Keywords

Hi

I published a website 1 week ago using the Colorway Pro theme.

Google webmaster tools is not showing my content keywords but keywords found on the 'theme demo home page': ink themes, colorway, optimized etc.

I can see all these keywords in the WordPress editor 'front-page.php'.

But I assumed the demo page disappeared/disabled after it was replaced with a static home page.

Also when I run seo quake diagnosis and it picks up the correct keywords.

Is this something that will correct it self over time?

Any advice appreciated

Thank you

This is not webdesign related... it's an SEO question.

Hi MichaelSorry I mustn't have explained it clearly. My bad.

My questions is why is Webmaster tools showing the keywords from the demo content, not my actual keywords themselves. I think it's some technical with Wordpress I can't work out.

      Cheers.

What do you see if you view the site and "view page source"?

If you're logged out when you view source, that's what Google sees, not WordPress editor 'front-page.php'

Still not a design question. The answer is that Google has probably indexed your site before you replaced the demo page with your new home page.

      Hi RobinInTexas &UMS

Logged out and source code reveals all the correct details. Therefore I think UMS
is correct, demo site got indexed before I replaced content. Makes senses.Doh!

      Thanks Guys

(will post in the correct section next time )
