Default Portal Design

I'm putting together a city portal. On the site I'd like to put in community events, news, categories for businesses, ad space, etc. I'm trying to find the best (somewhat easy, cheap, expandable, good design qualities, etc.) software to work with. The main three I'm considering are wordpress, drupal and joomla. I'm somewhat familiar with wp, because I've used it for blogs, but I've read it might not be the best for a portal site. The best seems to be drupal, but I've read that it can be difficut for a regular guy to get a pretty site. Joomla seems to be the middle of the two.

I would really appreciate any thoughts, feedback or advice as I'd like to tackle the project with one software and run with it. Thanks for all input!

Hi,

Please share more information and details regarding this vulnerability,
how did you know this, where you read about this... also if you
know the version of the joomla you were using that time...

Regards,
Mohsin

Hey!

I just have finished designing a big portal (press) based on Wordpress. Many categories, very big front page (similar to the biggest portals).

Advantages of Wordpress - if you know how to widgetize your Wordpress theme everything can be changed - I mean everything

Disadvantages - all extra functions have to be uploaded with plugins, if you don't know how to design templates forget about Wordpress.

If you will need a list of plugins I used (about 30 of them) PM me - I will let you know.

EXPRESSO - THE ULTIMATE WORDPRESS THEME FRAMEWORK

71 templates, Color changer, Background constructor, dynamic gradients & so much more!
