How to offer various "Freebies" with email confirmation?

I want to create various articles based on a topic and then at the bottom of the page have an optin that allows them to get a free ebook which goes into more detail. My issue is that I would ideally like them to confirm their address before getting it but that would require creating a different list for every free ebook that would be sent out automatically once they confirm. I will have a different ebook for each article so cant just send out the standard email with link once confirmed.

I'd also take them to the OTO page once they sign up so would not be able to link them back to their specific ebook either. The more I think about it setting up a bunch of lists would be the only option...?

If you want to distribute a different ebook for each article - then each article needs its own list. I don't see any other solution...

Yeah it seems like it. But also seems like an overkill to create a different list just to give someone a freebie. Decided to give them the ebook I promise on the article along with all the other as a "bonus"

Definitely overkill, and a lot of manual labor! Who wants that.....

Many people do something similar to what your asking (without some of the details), and I see the "Subscribe To Download" plugin being used all the time.
It's a decent quality plugin with many features.
Maybe it will help enhance what your doing and automate things a bit.
