Hello,
I have a hosted account at crazy domains, and I want to be able to automatically back it up. This account has multiple sites on it.
I want to make a scheduled backup of all data and databases on it.
Does anyone know how to do this?

And what was your host's answer when you asked them about the same?

  • they have a console that you can do them manually, I don't want to have to log in and initialize it every time

Stop being lazy then, coz that's the most trusted way of keeping a backup.

Do not depend on softwares and all those flashy landing pages giving away gadgets. Its your site, its like your home, your income, keep it safe.

the easiest way to backup all of your data on your server, ask your technical support and tell them do this work for you. This job is also in your contract.
If you can't do this support, go to your Control Panel Hosting, find Backup, choose your root folder ( www. or public_html, or htdocs...) and fill in your email to be notified, press Generate.
Wait for some delay, after that, your file backup ( .tar.gz) will be placed in your root folder or outside root folder,
And then, move your file to your root folder or a domain hosted, your download file will be http://domain/file-backup.tar.gz... etc..
    That's the direct link.

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

  • my actual site is not hosted by crazydomains.
I resigned as site and there previous site was already there, I am not going to go in there and manually back it up.
I thought maybe I could set up a scheduled backup like if you have a linux server and you set up a cron job.
Oh well I will have to instruct them how to do it
