Hi Fellow Warriors: I had a question. How do you go about making a free download e-book for a squidoo lens. I would like to offer a ebook for one of my lenses but I do not know the exact steps to take in order to make that happen. I know the ebook would have to be downloaded to a domain name and I would have to create some kind of link from my squidoo for the download but how do I do that? |

Hi, From memory there is no problem with linking from Squidoo and I know most people link to their sites for SEO benefits. If you are simply creating a direct download then I would think it would just be a simple matter of putting in the full anchor text. Have you already tried this without success? |

To have a downloadable free ebook on squidoo, you can upload the ebook to whatever hosting you have, if any and just include a link in your lens. If you need a place to put your ebook, you can use something free that offers a direct link to the file. I've used dropbox with success for this. |

Make sure you put it in a zip file if you host it on your own server. This will reduce the time it takes for people to download the file and save you bandwidth.
