I have a website with a clickable image that takes you to an external site (I have no access to the external site).
How do I track how many times the image gets clicked?

Thanks guys!

If you have cPanel, then you can get that info via Awstats (in cPanel, click Web/FTP stats --> Awstats). Or you can use a third party program, like Google Analytics, etc.

Where can I find the information on that with Google Analytics? I have it set up for said domain.

EDIT: I also have Awstats on cPanel but can't see a figure for clicks out of my site

You can shorten the URL of the link placed in the image. I use goo.gl to track clicks which also comes with a useful Analytics about the clickers.

If it's wordpress you can use pretty links or ninja affiliate or something along those lines. It will show you how many times someone has clicked whatever links you set up.

You can fire javascript function with query string and read query string to store in variable or file. According to me javascript is a best option to track
