Wordpress Theme Stretching Out Contact Form

I have never encountered this before and I can't find any info online. No matter which contact form plugin I use, my theme is stretching out the fields and throwing off the alignment!

What could be causing this and does anyone know how to fix it?

Do you mean a link to the page with the contact form? Here it is:

Also, if you notice on the home page, I have a paypal button which is gigantic even though I specified when I made the button "small". It appears as if the theme itself is stretching certain things out. The "hire me" button on the home page is the proper size and so is my photo. I don't know why those would be the right size and the paypal graphic and contact form would be messed up.

Could it be something about the code itself or is it something in the theme?

There's no easy/fast way to fix this without having access your website FTP and code. Even if someone were to give you the adjustments to fix the code, you would still need to have some minimal html skills handy. And in the time that someone was to explain to you what edits to make, he (or she) could have fixed it himself already.

This is a CSS issue. You can find a programmer (on odesk.com) to fix both issues for $25, by editing the CSS. If you plan to install a new theme, you can try it out and see if the problem fixes itself.

Looks like the CSS in the theme is doing this as the image you selected from PP is correct

Look in your CSS around line 61

input, textarea, select {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
border: 1px solid #D7D7D7;
clear: left;
color: #000000;
float: left;
font: 0.929em Arial,sans-serif;
margin: 0 0 10px;
padding: 7px 10px;
width: 300px;

See that 300px that the size that making that pp buy button.

Its the same reason for your contact us form

Hire Me ... is okay because its not using that part of the CSS as the other two are text area.

  So, shall I play with that 300 number (lower the value) until those two things aren't stretched out anymore? Will this mess up other aspects of the theme?

Okay, so deleting that line helped with the Paypal button issue. I didn't see the changes at first so I cleared my cache and that did the trick.

However, the contact form is still messed up looking so there was no change! I've tried several plugins to see if that maybe was the problem and I had the issue no matter which plugin I used.

  Okay so we are seeing the same thing. This is how the contact form always looked before I touched anything. The only thing that changes was the Paypal button. Before uploading this theme, the fields were stacked on top of the boxes and now with this theme, they went all askew - the only one that remained stacked was the "name" text.
  
  Now I don't know what to do - I guess I just don't like it and everything comes out looking that way. Would I still have this problem if I coded my own form?
  
  Thank you "topniche" for the suggestion on aligning the Paypal - I have to fix a bunch of things on that page so when I go in, I'll do that.
