Reccomend a wordpress theme please

Ive been searching everywhere but cant find a theme that is suitable.

I am l9oking for a basic theme which will have my site logo across the top of each page and a slider beneath that on each page. Always with the same images in the slider as i will use these instead of banner ads.

I would then like the home page to have 12 boxes. One for latest posts and the rest for categories on the site.

When each box is clicked i would like this to go to each page with a list of posts in each category.

I would also like to have a leaderboard ad on each side of the page which i will sell ad spaces for so will upload images as and when i need to.

Anybody any ideas what theme will suit my purpose?

If not wordpress i am open to other options.

Very keen to get this set up asap

    Never seen it. You need to create your own theme from scratch.

    This plugin can do it pretty easily:

    WPBakery - Visual Composer WP plugin

    So can Headway and Catalyst themes.

      Headway and Catalyst are a bit complicated.

      Visual Bakery is much easier.

      You could have a look at Headway, as it is quite visual for designing your own site. There are a number of videos to check it out (they do make it look to easy tho )

    Dave,

    There are many WP themes that will do what you want. It's a matter of simply configuring the home page with the boxes and content in the arrangement you like.

    The exception is the leaderboard. I have no experience with this but I'm guessing it could be a plug-in that is added to WP. Just search online and I'm sure you'll find a leaderboard.

    I have built many WP sites and I like Studio Press and Elegant Themes. Many others like Woo Themes and Theme Forest. Again, if you configure a flexible theme as you want it I think WP is a good platform for what you're suggesting.

    You could look on a site like Udemy and Themeforest. There are tons of WP themes on there. They probably have one that fits your needs. I think WP is definitely the best way to do this.
