I have my wordpress blog set to a domain name. Now I'm trying to get verified by Google Webmaster tools and they want me to put this tag in my HTML: <meta name="verify-v1" content="upc1W4hVEomdGljoRMcXLvtqWfHClQqx4uOEZaHF5 20=" /> But no where on my wordpress.com account am I allowed to do this. Is there a way? |

Use the other method from Google Webmaster Tools, upload a blank html document named as they specify. Same place you got the meta tag is where you choose the html file option. Just create a new file via FTP and name it WhateverGTellsYouToNameIt.html |

Yes you can do this. I have done same before and it works. There are menu where you can see pages codes, for example index.php or sidebar.php there you can put your meta tag. Unfortunately I can't tell it very specificly because currently I don't have any more any blogs available but however I'm going soon open a blog and I can help you how to do it. Just let me know. | |
