How to Add "Feature Box" Above Blog Content to Get Opt-Ins?

Hello Everyone,

What I am looking to do is to add what I believe is called a "feature box" above my blog content in order to build my list quicker. I currently am using Headway Theme Editor to run my website but I am not sure how to add such a "feature" box with Headway.

Here are a couple examples of what I am looking to do ....

Online Marketing Strategy – Social Triggers

I have considered switching themes if necessary, like for example switch to Thesis because they actually offer a "feature box" option within their theme, and that is how the second two examples I listed were built.

I have also been researching Flexsqueeze Themes a ton and cannot decide if it will be worthwhile to switch to it. I cannot tell if the "feature area" they offer will allow for customization and allow me to insert an optin like I am looking to.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I greatly appreciate it in advance!

Thanks so much and have a great day,

Anthony

You need to either find a theme that already has what you want, or customize one. Hire a designer to do it for you, shouldn't cost more than a few bucks. You could also try a modal window with an opt-in box (they convert better). Smart Modal is free, but does require knowledge to customize and configure.

I use FlexSqueeze. I've added an opt-in box at the bottom of the post. I could have easily added it at the top. Flexsqueeze allows you to put widgets in the sidebars, footer, header, top of post, bottom of post or in feature area. I just added the code for the opt-in in the widget area of choice.
