Default Removing a Searchbox from Wordpress Template?!

Hey warriors, I've been trying my hand at learning more about webdesign and have another frustrating issue, I don't know if it is meant to be like this or if the template for my blog is wrong, but the issue is there are 2 search boxes right next to eachother on my blog..is this normal? Or is this an error, if so how would I remove one of the search boxes.

It's here at My Progress Blog you can see it on the right side , I don't have much experience with the whole technical side of designing so any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

There may be a search box coded into the theme design AND a search box created by a widget.

Go into admin - appearance - widgets -> and see if there is a widget displaying the "search". If so - remove it and save. Then refresh your browser to see what happens.

Went into admin settings and no widgets are even activated made sure everything was off... Could it just be something in the script of the template that is wrong?? Any suggestions?

If the theme's widgetised, add a widget to the sidebar - the usual protocol is for a widget to override the theme's default sidebar items. So, if you add a pages widget, you should hopefully see everything other than the pages item disappear, in which case all you need to do is add the widgets you want to get rid of the errant search box.
Failing that, PM me and I can whip up a similar template for you.
