Hey Everyone,

I am pretty new to web design and built pretty much my fist real site at Heather AnnZ Salon - One of the Best Hair Salons in Fargo ND I think that it looks and works pretty good although there is always room for improvement. I am satisfied with the visual design for people but and concerned with the design for seo. Hopeing some of you with a but more experience can take a look and give me suggestions on what I need to improve on-page wise or maybe just grill me about how terrible I am and point out what I need to work on in your rant.

Thanks

  • Gzibell,

I only took a look at a few things and I’m sure others will have suggestions. I ran your site through Google’s page speed analyzer. It did pretty well but there were still a few things you could take care of. Serving scaled images was one of them.

There are no links that I can see pointing to your site. That is something you will want to start on.

The content on a lot of your pages is pretty thin and it isn’t clear which keywords you are targeting.

I know you mentioned you had your design squared away but there was just one thing I wanted to point out. On my screen, your home page banner takes up the entire screen. You have a pink button further down on the page that it appears you want people to click. It would be better if you had this up higher above the fold so that users wouldn’t have to scroll to see it.

    Hope those things help,

    Best,

    Shawn

      Shawn,

I am really trying to target "hair salons in fargo nd" for my main homepage. The other pages on the site are more for information about the business are aren't specifically targeting anything. The blog is a different story as I tried to write to rank for other keywords.

As a general questions should I be including my targeted keyword across all pages and posts on my site? I was previously building pages and post attempting to target specific keywords but maybe I need to work on that.

Can you give any reccomendations on how to better target the keywords I am after?
