Can I Put A Wordpress Blog Here?

I have a domain that has a squeeze page for the root address and a download page. That's all.
Is it OK to put a wordpress blog on the root domain/blog

e.g.

Squeeze page is
mydomain.com

Download page is
mydomain.com/download

So blog would be
mydomain.com/blog

I'm sure it is fine but I get nervous with all the clever techie side of things.

    Of course you can put a blog in any folder within your root folder unless of course you want it to be your homepage then put in root folder.

    You can also name it whatever works for you - if you want multiple blogs - just change names of folders and use a prefix in your database specific to that blog.

    If you want to maintain a set header and footer for your site - just call that script in an Iframe and it will keep the user on your main site. Do not put a header or footer in the blog - just content.

      You could also set up your squeeze page as a wordpress page using a custom template as the home page in the root directory and have a normal wordpress blog originating from the root.

      YourSite.com The Squeeze Page

      YourSite.com/ThePostname.html

      YourSite.com/AnotherPostname.html
