Can or should I do this with WP

I guess I could do this with categories but not sure. So if I set up a list and I was promoting say an MLM program and some other products to that list and I was sending them to my blog, on my WP blog could I have different blog pages for different things such as keyword research or traffic generation? I guess I could do it by setting up sub domains. Maybe I just answered my own question. Any ideas?

Thanks
Scott

You dont need to use sub domains for that.

Just use wordpress and setup a pages

    - for your sales page
    - tips for traffic
    - tips for kws
    - tips for etc .....

Hence you don't have to always shows posts on the home page you can setup the home page to display any page you want. Then if you blog about it then you still can.

Not exactly sure what your requirements are buy I am pretty sure you can use WP for what you are trying to do

Let me know if you have any other specific questions ...

Well my niche is not IM but the niche I am in has several sub niches, I guess each could be a niche in itself but they all fall under one niche. Like learn a language niche. Your blog may blog/site could be named how to learn foreign languages. could you have a blog on learning Spanish or several pages and then have a blog or several pages on learning German on the same site? The reason I want to blog is because in my niche each topic could be many, many pages so not sure if I should cover topics in blog posts or static pages

Yes, there is no need to add sub domains. I think adding pages or posts are best.

Ok I think I will play around with it and figure it out. One more question then I gotta get out of the forum. I want to have an e-mail address so visitors can contact me with questions. They will be learning things on my site and will have questions. This is not IM and I don't think I will have a ton of people trying to market to me. I don't want that so how could I do this whith out getting a lot of spam or that e-mail address getting scraped for those spammers?

You could add a Contact Form instead of providing your email. I did this, for the same reason - spam. It works really well, and it's free. I recall the guy was very helpful. It works great and therefore is a good product.

Pro Contact Form - Professional Forms and Form Builder

      I've used it here:

You'll notice it also has a question to send the email, which helps stop spam.
This form can be adapted to suit your needs, as I have done to accommodate all my sites through a drop-down menu.

Here a few ways for that

Make your email an image instead of text
Format the email with a <at> and <dot> or [at] and [dot]
    Use javascript

I think this would work, but I'm not certain.

Can you set up a different blog on one site, naming each one by topic, ie: one for learning Spanish, one for learning German, etc. I believe you can designate where you want to install Wordpress, which creates new folders on your one domain to accommodate them. Then, if you want, you could link each blog together through the main page.

      Otherwise:

You can create separate pages on one blog for each of your categories. for instance, on my anxiety blog, I had one page for anxiety, one for nutrition as it relates to mental health, the mind/body connection, resources, etc.

Or, you can just create categories and save related topics in one category. For instance, my same site, I have "folders" for coping tips, anxiety, depression, stress, etc.

So you can try 3 different approaches and see which one suits your needs best.
