Help with title for post and page

When adding a new post or a new page (In Wordpress) there is a place for the title. Now if you enter the title when either doing a post or a page the title appears when you visit the site. Suppose I want to type in the title but do not want it to appear when I visit the site, how do I get about doing this.

    I really fail to understand why you would want to do this but all you need to do is simply comment out the code in the page.

      I thought as much somebody would think that that was a strange thing to do - but I want to do it because for that particular page I have several headings so if I put the title the topmost heading will look completely different from the rest. Another reason is I want to change the permalink at the moment it is on default and it does not look pretty. How do I get about doing that that is "comment out the code in the page".
