I would like to know how much would a 5 page simple website cost.

It really depends what you think the meaning of simple is.

What seems simple to the average people may not be so simple to design and code. Could be anywhere form $50 to $1,000. It really does depend what you want on those 5 pages. Consider dynamic or static content as well. Custom CMS or off the shelf stuff like wordpress etc.

For example, you might get someone to create a Wordpress theme for you, and then you can easily input the content of the 5 pages yourself through the admin panel. This means that the data entry part of the process is something you don't have to pay someone else for.

I'm not sure what others might charge for Wordpress theme creation and site setup, but I generally charge $300 or less for the whole process. Again it depends on what you do and don't need, ie. custom logo, page templates etc. I would usually charge at least twice that if someone wants a static html site, as it takes so much longer to create and you have the additional content entry and formatting time to consider.
