Amazon Link and directing to co.uk and .com

I suspect this has been asked and answered before

I'm hoping to use a gif to link to amazon and the website it's on services both US and UK customers.

Is there anyway that if a UK visitor clicks on the gif, they get directed to item, on amazon.co.uk and the US visitors get directed to amazon.com?

Thing is products do not match up per country. A product listed on US will likely not be listed as UK as well. So you can't have one link for a product and divert it to different versions of amazon.

Does that make sense?

  You don't say what type of site you have, but if it's Wordpress then you can get a localizer plugin: WordPress › Support » Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer

  Wonder how that works. I know I've checked links before and when I checked a US product, it was not available for UK customers.
