How do I make a single blog post very wide?

I'd like to post a wide infographic on my blog.

Is there a way to increase the width of my blog for just one post?

It can be done if your theme comes with wide layout pages, I mean the different page layouts for different type of content

e.g. Avada – Large Image Full Width
Avada – Blog Slideshow Post

yes, under your post there are different layout options listed, just choose full-width

Yes use full width and if your theme doesn't support that you will have to make a custom theme layout.

Full width is an option, only if the theme supports it, not all of them have that option. Also, using full width is going to take out the side bar, if that matters or not.

I'd rather apply a "lightbox" with whatever width you need... instead of messing with the layout of the blog.

  In the event you don't want to do the lightbox, which is probably the best approach, you could create a custom post format using a "child theme" and applying the logic of a conditional tag and use a custom "single.php" to implement css to set the post width and accomodate whatever header/sidebar/footer elements you feel are appropriate.

What do you use for website design? if the one you use is WordPress, just choose a responsive WordPress theme with full-width function.

  Hi Sara, not sure what theme you are using but you can check if you have an option under the publish button to change your post template.
  
  Another option without coding is to see if maybe you can make your post as a PAGE, some themes have full width pages.
