Hello,

I have a site that am currently using S2Member. I have about 28 members on it and I want to switch everything over to Buddypress. I'm worried that I'm going to lose everything. I downloaded Buddypress and tried to update the activity page but it just shows the page as blank when I view it. I'm not sure if it's because I still have S2Member installed or if I'm doing something wrong. I don't know what to do or where to begin to make this switch. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Buddypress: 1.8.1
Wordpress: 3.4.1

Those are two different plugins. S2 is a membership plugin and BuddyPress is a social plugin. You'll lose your paywall and drip abilities.

Otherwise, a user is a user, whether it's BuddyPress or S2. You might have to change their roles to "Subscriber," though. Also, I'm not sure BP 1.8 plays well with WP 3.4. You may need to upgrade to 3.6.

Thank you for your reply. What do you mean by my drip abilities? I'm not charging my members to sign up so I should be okay if I deactivate S2 and just use Buddypress right?
