Web site Archiving questions
He wants all existing links/pages/content to be viewable offline, including working links etc.
I've looked into two archiving programs, HT Track and Local Website Archive, which look like they will do the trick. However I have no experience whatsoever when it comes to archiving web sites.
My understanding is that the web site is basically stored on a folder on the hard drive of my computer, and can later be accessed and viewed even though the original site is no longer online/live on a hosting site. In the case of HT Track, it says they use a 'mirror' browser so I can view the web site which is stored on my hard drive.
Does anyone here have any experience with archiving, especially with either of the two previously mentioned archiving programs? Any cautions, things to be careful of, tips or suggestions?
Thanks for any and all input!
