Need a Forum software + paid membership site

Anyone know of inexpensive, easy to use forum software (like this forum) that will also allow for a paid membership area? I'm looking at Authpro but can't tell if it will allow for a free chat forum.

Other threads on here refer to Vbulletin but I can't afford that right now. I am Wordpress illiterate and when I have tried using it, I have ended up getting frustrated when trying to make it look like I want it to so I would prefer to stay away from Wordpress + plugin options. Are there any other inexpensive options out there that will work good and look professional? I really like the functionality of the Warrior Forum here. Anyone know what it runs on?

    You can try MyBB, there should be a paid membership plugin for it.

    Warrior runs on a custom vBulletin.
