Hi all,

Apologies if this is the wrong sub forum, I'd just like a bit of clarification with the site I am about to create/implement. I come from a background of dropshipping/importing and dealing with physical products however am making the transition into digital goods to live location independent.

I have created a product (PDF) on a fitness niche topic, I would like to turn this into a clickbank product therefore I need to make a site - comprised of a sales page with the clickbank buttons etc. I understand this.

My question is - where does the landing/squeeze page come into this? or do they not?

should the root of my domain e.g. www.fitness.com just be the sales page? Or should it be a squeeze page? I am a bit confused with the overall layout of which page should link where.

Apologies for the beginner question.

I think a squeeze page is better, I am using a internal page for clickbank products

It depends on your search marketing strategy. The highest converting pages are those that are optimized for specific search patterns. For example, you may run a google adwords campaign for your product that you will direct to a targeted landing page with an immediate call to action. However, your main home page may be more of a general overview of the product.

Many top clickbank sellers offer different landing pages for their affliates.

      Example:
Landing page one - www.fitness.com/lander1.php - This page is a squeeze page with bonus report, warm up the customer

Landing page two - www.fitness.com/lander2.php - Same layout as main page, but has a 20% discount

Landing page three - your main page

If you are serious about selling your product and moving fast, you probably should not be too concerned with seo at this stage. Its about getting traffic in, building your list, and selling.

      cheers.

PS - don't use subdomains ie subdomain1.fitness.com, subdomain2.fitness.com - that really hurts your seo, stick with pages or directories if necessary
