Invest in building wordpress themes

Hi all,

I am planning to invest in building a series of wordpress themes and make a theme club membership like elegant theme. I need a correct direction.

can i use an existing theme framework like genesis or thesis to build them? is the framework branding still visible to my client after i build new theme with it?

  Andrew Mak, check into the Wordpress theme GPL issue. A few sites use split-licensing, where the PHP of the theme is GPL, and the rest is propriety, but most are fully GPL, meaning you're free to use them as you please, including rebranding them as your own.
