A Farang Abroad | Travel Blog about Thailand and Australia

What are people thoughts about the layout of my site? I kind of feel my "popular posts" widget looks a bit tacky, should I change it? I have tried to get my header google add under my title but im not good enough at coding to do that.

Just looking for ideas really to improve it etc

It's OK. The popular posts widget is OK. The adsense placement is a bit annoying. But fits in with most adsense type sites.

You probably only need one set of social icons. Either the one at the top of the posts or the slider. If you want people to share your blog posts, they need to be really excellent information.

And if you are really farang, why are your posts contemptuous of expats?

It depends what you are wanting people to do. When I first hit the site my eyes were going all over the place because there is a lot happening. A confused user will usually do nothing. So figure out the purpose of your site and try and make it more obvious so the eyes are drawn to that part of your site.

Really you need your logo to be redone , Change your background image according to the theme of the niche.

thanks for the advice, my blog is just about my traveling experiences, I have removed the floating side bar, I have also adjusted my Menu a bit to make it easier for people to find stuff.

I am currently looking into a new background as I am not longer in Bangkok, but Oz.

Also best place to get a new logo done, Fiverr??

Also for my background image do you think I should go with a more simple one, as my blog is now about Thailand and Australia. Perhaps picking something neutral like white or cream as the background?
